Burning lump in my throat
as I try to prevent the tears from welling.
I just pretend and I exist;
I put that sweet smile on my face.
"No, everything's okay,"
I reassure others.
Words so twisted
like my thought pattern
as I panic and worry.
Am I ill?
Am I dieing?
Why do I feel so hot,
shaky, dizzy, fearful,
and so I curl into a ball.
Tears flood navy sheets.
I lie there in my damp,
isolated world.
Wanting to escape,
wanting to be carefree.
Desiring things not attainable
through money;
Only through
sheer determination.
Can I attain such an existance?

I like that much twiggy, very well done. Thank you for sharing this with us, it helps to get those feelings on paper i believe.

Your poem tells me that you are a fighter and that you WILL get better. You are so obviously a strong person! I agree with shell. Keep on writing! It helps! I know!!! Good job! :)

Hey Twiggygal,

That was awsome made me take a real good look at myself. Hang in there hun we all know these feelings will pass only to come back but we can deal with them.
