sad My depression has relapsed lately, and the doctor tried putting me on an additional antidepressant that made me so sick... I had to stop it, so we've upped my dose of the one I'm on, but no relief yet. I have missed 2=1/2 weeks of work, and will soon be in trouble there too. I'm losing my insurance (everyone at my company is, they decided it was too expensive for them to carry insurance anymore). I've been getting more and more depressed and my anxiety is out of control. I'm afraid of everything, and feel like I'm slipping back to where I was before, wanting to hide under the covers. It's all I can do to get my granddaughter to school and do dishes. I feel like I'm letting my family down, financially and in all other ways. I don't see my therapist until Friday. I don't want to see my primary doc, as she is just going to want to add more and more meds and I can barely function now. I wish I had never started with these antidepressants... I can't take more, the side effects make me feel so bad. Sorry I haven't been helping here much either.. just so down, I don't feel like I can be much help to others.

I love all of you! (hugs)

hi bear,
sorry to hear about the hard time with your depression. i am from the uc site, but i also suffer from depression and anxiety.
have you talked to your doctors about going on a short term disability or long term until you feel better? my sister has been on long term disability for 3 yrs now, you sound a lot like how she felt back then.
she suffers from depression and bipolar.
i hope your doctors can help you with that option if you decide to
try that.
hang in there, i know the depression seems endless but try to stay strong. we are all here for you. don't give up....

Bear,
You could NEVER be worthless! You've been such an encouragement to me and others! try to take it one day at a time and look into social services to help you get assistance. I'm on disability and it's nothing to ever be ashamed of! Keep us informed and we're all here for you!
HUGS!

It sounds as if the anti-depressant is not working. It takes a month or so for them to work, even if just adjusting the dose. Sometimes you have to try a few different ones to find what helps you. I take two of them right now and the combination is helping me. It also sounds like you should start looking for a new job if you will loose your insurance. That would motivate me to find a new one. I hope you are feeling better soon.

*huggggs* ooh bear it'll be okay.

It's good that you'll be seeing you're therapist on Friday.

No you are NOT worthless, don't ever think that!!!

My employer doesn't offer medical insurance and I don't have any so now the bills are piling up but I'm trying to avoid feeling depressed even though there is nothing I can do.

Try looking around for health insurance or see if your state has some program you can go through.

I'm trying to get Minnesotacare in my state. It's a state program and there's no deductible. *thank goodness as I can't afford the high deductibles I've been quoted*

Bear,
There are programs available thru the pharmaceutical companies that can help you get your meds for free or reduced cost. Don't be afraid to inquire about that! I'll try to do some research and send you the info! :)
Hang in there!

Bear,
here is one website with good info. You can also do a Google search by just typing in the words "free medication", to get more sites and info. Any questions, just let me know!

Hi bear, i am sorry that you are feeling the way that you are... Never for one minute think that you are anything less then a wonderful person... I have read many of your postings and i believe that you are an inspiration to us all... Remember we are all family and we all care very much about everyone in this circle of friends... Hoping your days will be brighter and sunnier then ever very soon... Take care you are in my prayers... :-)
                          In a circle of friends,
                          We have one Father,
                          In a circle of friends,
                         We share this prayer,
If you weep,we will weep with you,
If you sing for joy, the rest of us will lift our voices too.
But no matter what you feel inside there's no need to pretend,
Thats the way it is in this circle of friends...
