Ok, Sometimes when I lay on the floor I can feel my heart pulsing in my stomach? What is causing that?? Does anyone else get that?

You should be able to feel your heart pulsate in tummy that is just fine no worries there
Hold hand to belly pushing in you will feel it
Same as on feet you have what they call a Pedeal (sp) pulse
This is usually used to check seniors or others with edema (swelling) in feet and legs
Take care

Like Lyn said, totally normal. Don't worry about that.  I can feel it also.

I feel this too. Heart races a lot, feels like its skipping sometimes. I have a lot of anxiety/panic. Maybe this is a dumb question, but does anxiety have a negative effect on the heart? Like is it hard on my body? Am I more likely to have heart problems when I'm older? (I'm 27 now.)

Definatly normal, that alone gave me panic attacks for about the first 2-3 yrs. I could look down at times and see my heart beat, I would lay down to go to bed and feel my pulse in my head. I finally started forcing myself to ignore it (and after several test-that were normal). I stopped checking my pulse, stopped looking for it and now thats one anxiety symptom that does not freak me out, because I know its normal. I think that is a common fear amoung us a/p folks. Scary as it is, its harmless.

If you don't mind me asking, are you in therapy or anything like that? The reason I ask is because I truly started feeling real relief when I started learning what was going on and how to fight back. I hope you feel better soon! My heart goes out to you, God Bless.

Totally normal. My heart racing and pounding is one of my biggest anxiety symptoms. Ive had about a billion EKGs and all are fine. I do have a slightly faster heart rate then most, In fact everytime i get an EKG I tell the doc exactly what he is going to say before he says it. "Your heart seems fine and normal just a bit fast"
Im 27 too Wazu and wondered the same thing, but my doc says your heart is a very strong organ and its not going to give out just cause it pumps a bit faster then some people. No worries ;)

Thank you everyone! Daisy, I just started therapy, also just started taking Prozac for depression and anxiety, already starting to feel difference with the anxiety after having it severely for over 2 years. I think the therapy, plus meds, plus this board is helping me see through it a bit. Thanks again everyone for the warm welcome and information!
