I am sooooo confused about all of these different kinds of meds.  My psyche gave me Buspar today and I read every thread about it on this site and I'm just plain confused.  If someone is a veteran on all of this stuff.  I'd like to know the following:

1) What class is Wellbutrin?
2) How does SSRI work?
3) What calss is BUSPAR?

How in the world does the doc determine which one you need?  Why are their so many types?  I HATE MEDS...am constantly upset that I am someone who has to take this stuff just to do the business of living.  I look around and it seems like everyone is normal but me.
Thanks for any input.

It would literally blow your mind if you actually knew just how many peeps ( professional like doc's Nurses asctors ect ect are on anti depressants )
It is a disease like others that has to be sometimes dealt with by meds as certain chemiclas are not released from brian into system so the med will do this for you
SSRI's are ones that release these chemicals ..serotonin and others
Wellbutrin is used in most cases for depression and along with Buspar ( used to treast anxiety and panic ) should help you out
So Wellbutrin is anti depressant and
Buspar is an anti anxeity /and panic med .........Accordoing to resourses on the side in yellow for HW resources
Other questions you have can be answed there..........I am sure if not others will be along to help you out
Hope this has given you some idea or help ..........

Hi Lyn,
Thank you for your input. I have some research to do still. I really don't want to have to take 3 meds but it sounds like I'm covered. Lexapro for SSRI, Wellbutrin for dopamine, and Buspar for anxiety. I'll get my Buspar RX filled and see what happens. Of course as broke as I am 3 RX is a lot but maybe just to get over the hump.
Take care.
