This happens to me and I'm hoping it's related to anxiety and not some horrible disease that I don't know I have.  It happens when I'm also feeling short of breath, so I'm afraid it means my lungs/heart aren't working properly and I'm not getting enough oxygen to my brain.  HELP!

Yes it is anxiety relates, when your anxious your body is preparing for danger therefore your eyes absorb more light and feel hazy , i got those symptoms and the more anxious u feel about it the worse it feels, you dont have an eye problem though believe me!!! you also may become more sensitive to sounds when in danger your eyes will try magnify everything within 5 to 7 meters close to them thats why its harder to see at a long distance.hope this helps and good luck

vision changes are probably from the fight or flight response, although a few anxiety sufferers do have their vision fade out for a while when panicky

just because you read this, it doesnt mean it will happen to you nono

all too often, it's my most scary part of my panic because I constantly fear i will pass out. I know that by obsessing over the fact that I think i will pass out only makes things worse, but that's what I have to work on. Just know you aren't alone.

I experience this symptom as well, though a bit differently. When I begin panicking, say just a few minutes prior to a full blown attack I get tunnel vision - haziness that kind of closes in from the sides. If I sit forward and move around a bit, talk to myself and breathe deeply it tends to go away. Honestly? It causes no real problem with my being able to see well it is just weird and scary. But I do think this is a very common symptom among A/P sufferers. Hope you feel better soon - keep us posted! :) idie/panicinID

Wow, this really helps reading about everyone's experiences...I seriously, honestly felt like I was the only one alive who felt like this. I have a lot of symptoms of anxiety. I always feel like I'm going to pass out, I get blurred vision often, and I keep blinking and trying to "gain control" because I feel like I'm about to die...and it's comforting in a way to know I'm not the only one.

Ooh my goodness.. I have been FREAKING out about this exact topic for like a week now. I thought I was going blind or something!!!

It happened to me today and I was seriously scared and wondered if I was going to pass out and have to go to the ER. My vision would kinda just come in and out when I started panicking earlier.. I thought it was an illness.. but then I took an Ativan and it went away.

I didn't know that this was anxiety related!!! I thought something was wrong with me.

I hate the tunnel vision I get at times when I'm panicking. Eeek
