Something I learned that causes anxiety AND depression

Hi all.  I am working on a program I leave nameless.  In it I have learned or relearned some things about anxiety and depression.
First of all, sugar is a depressant.  Yes, you feel good for a while, but after the high is gone, you get depessed again.  Stop eating sugar and wait till you see how you feel!  This may take a month to fully complete, but believe me, it works.  Being hypoglycaemic, I can't have sugar a lot anyway, but I have found a real difference in not eating sugary foods.
Secondly, STOP drinking ALL FORMS of caffeine.  It too is a stimulant that needs constant refilling for you to feel good.  This too may take a month to completely off of but ti too is worth i.
A third thing I learned someplace else is that the vitamin complex B6 and B12 are awesome stress reducers.  They do come with just the 2 and I feel awesome when I take them and KNOW when I don't!
anyway, just thought I'd drop a few tidbits for you all to consider.
oh, and exercise is an awesome way to deal with both anxiety, stress and depression - 5 days a week.

You should look up the words "magnesium" and "anxiety" together on Google. You'll find some excellent info. I personally take B vitamins, Omega-3 fish oils, GLA, and multi-vitamins. As soon as my mail order gets here, I'll be adding magnesium, chelated with an amino acid, and niacinamide to my regimen. I've read info published by researchers, as well as people's personal experiences with these supplements. And NO, it was not "paid testimonials". I was reading from sites where patients rate their own treatment...I've added my ratings on these sites as well. If anyone wants to look at some of the stuff I've found, just email me.

I do take both (and other) vitamins BUT due to crohns body does not absorb as well
I do agree totally
about exercise and keeping your mind occupied for sure
Glad to have you with us at HW

hey, that makes A LOT of 18 and my mom went to a psychic when i was about 7 i guess...she said i need to watch out for my sugar..this has been so true..i have anxiety and have been depressed, also i found out i have a slightly high bloodsugar level and diabetes runs in my family. i def. agree that sugar is key in anxiety and depression..thanks for the info.

LOL, you are too funny Normal! I agree about the sugar. Whenever I eat a lot of it I feel crummy afterwards. The only problem is I can't live without the chocolate that's attached to it :-).
