Hey guys, I just thought I would start a new thread for POSITIVITY! Each day let's try to focus on at least ONE good thing that we have gained from our struggles!
I am so grateful for the opportunity to be here at HW and have the chance to meet and talk with all of you. If not for my PD, I would have missed out on meeting all the wonderful people here. I would not be blessed with such an understanding of suffering, I would most probably be a meanie. :-) I am GRATEFUL!   Idie
Now that we're here, so far away,
All the struggle we thought was in vain.
All the mistakes one life can take,
They all finally start to go away.
Now that we're here, so far away,
And I feel like I can face the day.
I can't believe that I'm not ashamed,
To be the person that I am today.

A positive thing that has come from my struggles to overcome depression and panic attacks - is being given the chance to reinvent myself from scratch, coz lets face it when you reach the bottom of the pit the only way out is up!

I now understand that people don't have to look sick to be sick. This makes me more empathetic, I think.

I agree JKRsGirl, I look at all that's wrong with me and think to myself that there has to be a reason I am going through this. I have come to the conclusion that it's because most people I meet, if they are telling me about an issue of theirs or a health problem, I can honestly say " I know how you feel" I am still learning how to enjoy those times I feel less anxious but that takes lots of practice :)

I am grateful I found this site, the support I have recieved here has had a very positive effect on myself and the way I feel about taking medications. I'm just so grateful I am sleeping better and feel a bit better.
