                            Guardian Angel

I've got my Guardian Angel watching over me
Yet I must still step carefully
I've been given the choice to decide
But If I am not careful I still might slide

The same holds true with my Spiritual walk
I take the time daily and with Him I talk
Cause if I am not careful ,I could fall down
Then my feet will not be on solid ground

So I will live my Life carefully (prayerfully)
I will take each step thru life with Wisdom

Then I will be sure to keep
  My Guardian Angel
  Watching over me

Take care all we do have our own

My family and I used to take our unwanted items to the flea market to sell. As a kid, I enjoyed making a few extra dollars, but most of all, I enjoyed looking at all the different stuff folks would bring. One day I was looking around and saw this lovely little enameled brush, mirror, and comb set. I wanted it BAD! But I didn't have the $2.00 for it. I kept hoping that I'd sell enough items to go buy that set! I kept checking back to make sure it was still there! Finally, I got the $2.00! Now I can't remember if dad took pity on me or if I actually sold $2.00 worth of stuff, but I was going to get my pretties!!! I walked over to the table to lay down my money and the set was GONE! I was so upset. Then it dawned on me...my sister had probably went and bought it out from under me! Ooh was I mad at her! I went over to her and asked if she'd bought it. She said she had. I was fit to be tied and let her know that it wasn't right cuz she knew I'd had my heart set on those dainties! She then proceeded to take the set and handed it to me. She said it was a present for me...Yes, my little sister had spent her own money to buy it for me. Boy did I feel LOW! Of course I apologized for saying those rude words to her and thanked her profusely for the gift. I got more than a brush set that day. I also learned to never be presumptuous and to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially those we love!

Today is here
And soon will be gone.
Use it wisely
Before it's too late
Remember to love
And forget to hate.

A little birdie said I should share this with you guys so here it is. I wrote it when my grandfather (Dah in the poem cause thats what we called him) passed away. I was pretty heart broken and after having gone to the wake was even more heart broken watching some of my cousins (younger) be so heart broken with the innocence of children. They were just about 7, 7 and 10. He had other grand kids but the "girls" me and the other 3 I just mentioned kinda held a special place in his heart. On the day of his funeral I decided to write for 2 reasons first in rememberance of him and secondly as a reminder to the younger cousins what he was for all of us. I have not yet shared it with the girls I am not sure when I will but I will. So without further a do here it is:

To Dah,
From “the girls”
By Mimi (MLP)

We never thought that you would go.
We always wanted you here.
We know you didn’t want to leave,
You fought till the end to prove that so.
Though you have left this place,
You are always in our hearts
And on our shoulders whispering things we need to know.

Never are we alone.
We always have you here.
In our memories
And in our thoughts
And in the way we live our lives.

You’ve left your mark on each of us.
We can’t thank you enough,
For all the things you gave to us.

Stay near and keep us close at hand,
For you never know when we will need our Dah,
To lend a helping hand.

Think not of all the things you need to do, but rather of all the things you have done.

For Mom ...............................November 3rd 2006

How much do we miss her

I will try to count the ways
Like the night would miss its stars
Or the ocean miss its waves
Like the sea would miss it fishes
Or the air would miss the birds
Like a tree would miss its leaves
Like a song would miss its words
Like the dark would miss the dawn
Like a heart would miss its LOVE
Like an Angel would miss Heaven
Or the earth the sky above

These are so many ways we miss her
More and more each and every day
That beautiful Angel God just lent us
And then came and took away

Mom I really miss you so much
Words cannot really explain my pain nor sorrow for not having you around I keep trying to whisper to you..........
I sure could use you around to talk to share my stories, my happiness and sadness

Love for Always

Free to fully live

Instead of chasing happiness, enjoy it. Instead of putting off life until later, live it fully where you are.

There is only the slightest connection between your external circumstances and the level of genuine joy you experience. This moment is, more than anything else, what you make it.

There are endless varieties of positive and negative influences in your world. Yet the only ones that resonate within you are the ones you actually choose to identify with.

Your very nature is to be alive, aware, creative and spectacularly effective. Let go of your doubts, and allow your true nature to shine through.

Take a loving inventory of all that is right with your life. Focus on those things that have real value, and they will grow.

You have every reason to live more richly and joyfully today than ever before. Choose now to let the best of who you are be free to fully live.

I Miss You

Being apart from you isn't easy
I find self missing you so often
and in so many ways

But even though we can't be together right now
gentle thoughts of you fill my days
sweet dreams of you fill my nights

Although the miles come between us so now
I still feel close to you
and I just keep hoping the days will fly by
as I want you beside me

To talk to ,to hold .........to Love ........
