Ok. I know I'm new here but lets have some fun today!

What is the worst thing about your anxiety that u hate the most, and try to make the best of it.

Mine is standing in the food lines waiting to be checked out with my wife and having to leave her while I run off to the truck and (hide from the world)

But today I'm going to pick out the long line and read a magazine that make's me laugh like the old Mad magazines I read when I was a kid.

Come on now, u can do it and u know u can.

My wife works at a small feed store and has a customer that has anxiety real bad and calls from her car in the parking lot to get what she needs and asks for my wife everytime, she has done this for years now and now she will go in and see my wife in the store and my wife take care of her needs and trys to keep her away from other ppl as she help her with her orders. Her husband came in and thank my wife and told her that his wife has not gone into a store for over 10 years.

If she can do this why can't we put the brakes on something that bugs us, this is a support site so lets get are lifes back and fight it please try something new and stop *****ing about it and fight back.

I get really nervous when I have to catch public transport, but today I'm going to take the tram to work so that I can go past my favourite coffee shop and get a nice cuppa which I can sip on my way without worrying about traffic jams. Yummy!!!

Thank you nervymeg, I know it a hard battle but if we don't try how can we get better?
support groups should be there for you and to push u to try even if it's something small. Coffee sound great I haven't had coffee in sometime mainly becouse I have diabetes as well and I hate it black lol.

Good luck to you, as for me I'm going in to town and I'm going stay in that line today!
for awhile there I was thinking that no one really cared to help themselfs here.

I turn into a total wreck everytime I have to go to the doctors, maybe because I never get good news or maybe because I figure the doctor will think I'm nuts. Well, I have two appointments coming up and plan to go to both by myself and hopefully not panic. I can battle the malls, shopping and banks, but for some reason doctors appointments just turn me into a wreck.

I know want you mean I spend most of the time outside the waiting room in the cold even at 30 below, but I did make it though the checkout line today yeah I know that it maynot be a big deal for some but for me it was. I even did it without taking my diazepam before going to town.

Just think you can do it just like you allway's have in the past, and u will get though it, just think it through and take something that will peroccuped your mind Like if your into kniting take it with you it will help you keep your mind off of the other ppl there.

I been fighting it for 12 years and I still have to take babysteps but I'm still plugging at it and have inperved (sp) at it. We just need more support from are ppl to help us and not so much on the negative side of it.

Then let try some babystep for u and try something that u injoy, u don't even have to leave your home to do it. think of something that u like and just share it with a friend and someday soon u maybe able to go out and brave it, just remember u can't succeed if u don't try.

I remember after my husband left the only thing I did beside my "domestic chores" was go to the dog park. I loved going to the dog park. Nobody would ever know that I was clinically depressed because I love doggies and I love people who love doggies and well, you just gotta smile. Since I was a daily "regular" the regular dogs would run up to the fence and greet me. I have anxiety about going to the dentist too and recently I had to have a crown (all of that drilling, I thought I would have a heart attack, I didn't have the extra $100 for sedation) so I thought about my doggie the whole time. :)

It's good to hear these kind of things, I'm not feeling well today so I'm going to take a nap and I hope that I can still take my kid and her friend for the beach ride with the horses today, it's such a nice clear day out but a little on the cold side -4 in town and -12 hear but it should warm up later besides the horses need a good ride there getting a little to fat and sasy but that ok it helps them stay warm.

I plan on going to the court house this week and sit in on a trial it maybe fun, I don't know though I have never been to one before. but it's good to hear some of you ARE GOING TO TAKE YOUR LIFES BACK AND GO AT IT FIGHTING I KNOW I EM.

Loving this thread freezin.  I really enjoyed my coffee yesterday.  Today I'm going to drive home a different way so I can watch the sun set over the beach.  That sounds like fun going to a trial...cheers
