I hope this isnt to silly sounding but I Love to go shopping and waiting inline on Black Friday ( the day after thanksgiving )
But since this summer I have been having alot of painic attacks and I look forward to this day every year but I am getting worried
that if I go I might have a panic attack standing inline !!!!
I even sometimes wake up in the middle of the night thinking I need to go to the ER cause my heart will pound so hard and I sweat so bad and my chest hurts but it always goes away.
I just dont want to freak out infront of a whole bunch of people but I want to go cuz this is something my mom and I do every year!!! And I love the all the fun I have with her and all the laughing we do!!! But I am afriad I will have a painic attack too!
So I dont know what to do, Any advice?

Hi Crying

That sounds like so much fun shopping with your mom I bet you have a lot of funny stories to tell your children and grandchildren in the future. If it was me I would try very hard to do this and let your mom know if you start haveing any problems so you can take a break. I'm sure you will be fine just try to focus on having fun with your mother on black friday. Please let us know how it goes. I will put you in my prayers hun.

Did you consider shopping online? Most stores offer the same sales online as they do in stores. Might be worth considering.

Hi crying
It's the 'fear of fear' that gets us everytime..hate that when it happens!
Your mum sounds like a lot of fun to be around and you know that laughter is the best medicine..relax and enjoy the best you can..
Do you have meds you can take for anxiety? If not you may wanna talk to your doc about such things...

Thanks for all of your advice! You guys always have great ideas! I was talking to my mom and sis about it and I think I am going to try to go!
My mom want to spend that night with me cause we will get up so early and said she would drive if I wanted her to, But I like driving so I think that part will be fine. We are just going to take are time and make sure we take breaks and grab a bite to eat while were out and just have fun.
Yeah my mom is a whole bunch of fun! She is always ready to act just as silly and crazy as me and she has to be the most friendly person I know! I am glad to have her!
