So I been posting here for a while trying to find out about my condition. I used to think that I has some sort of seizure and it triggured hyperventilation and anxiety. As I was reading up online I found out that I had very similar symtoms of having a mini stroke.

There is one thing I DO NOT understand
Im too young (17)
I have low blood pressure
I have nothing that could of triggered it.

I still havent gotten fully evaluated and doctors just thought i had hyperventilation and panic. All I had was an EEG, CT, and an MRI and everything turned out fine.

So please if you have any information about what I may be going through please reply. I am going through a very though time =/ Im not going to see the doctor till monday hopefully.

kreak22,

Do you have any headaches with the stroke like symptoms? I took severals trips to the ER, because i thought i was having mini strokes. Left side numbness, blurred vision, vertigo, speech impairment, dialated eyes, sweaty and clammy hands. Not everyone has all these symptoms. I was then sent to Neurologist and diagnosed with migraine's w/ Aura. Here is a couple links to check out. Have you been to a Neurologist? If not i would suggest going to one. All my test came back negative. You name it i probably had it done. Best of luck to you. Keep us informed. I don't post much on here but, i do reads the forms several times a week. I'm not a physician just wanted to run this across to you.

i think if you had an MRI, the docs would see a mini stroke. It sounds like anxiety to me cause i had all those symptoms (even one-sided symptoms). I also have low blood pressure. Many thin people have low blood pressure. Also, food allergies can also cause low BP.

Yes I have seen a neurologist and I only thought it was panic / anxiety till I found out what a mini stroke was and related the the symtoms. My primary doctor thinks its panic / anxiety also. What I had looked like a seizure, abd I couldnt control myself, my eyes rolled up and I was perfectly aware what was going on, could hear and see everyone. Yes I had an MRI but I read online that I need several other tests to determine wheather I have any clots or anything causing it.

When I had my first panic attack, the docs thought I had a mini stroke, or a TIA (what they called it) After many tests and many weeks of going back and forth to docs, and numerous other "episodes" , it was finally ruled as panic attacks. I would periodically have numbness and tingling in my lips and face, among numerous other symptoms, like dizziness, nausea, lightheaded, confusion, rapid heart rate etc. They did a CAT scan on me in the ER the first time, which ruled out the stroke. They just said I was dehydrated and sent me on my way. I hppe you find out what's going on with all of your symptoms, best of luck to you.

Steph, how long ago whas this and did it ever do away? I still get the sensation im going to have another one but i guess i developed a fear for it now. I can relate to when you said you had a mini stroke because of dehydration because the first time it happened to me was at the beach on a very hot day. Please give me more info about what you went trhough and how you overcame it because im still in the process of overcoming it. Please let me know. Thanks =)

Hi kreak,
My symptoms ended up eventually just being a panic attack. I started to become completely freaked out every day because I was afraid of what was going to happen. Until I found out that they were panic attacks, I started to try to learn more about panic and anxiety to help myself cope. The dehydration mainly came from the fact that I have bouts with colitis, which doesn't allow me to keep too many fluids in sometimes. Once I was able to figure out what panic attacks were I was able to try to get through things by better learning my body, and pay more attention to all that was going on. I mainly get through them, but trying to change my behavior. If I go back and look at the time my first panic attack struck, I was under so much stress and difficult times going on in my life, I now know where they stemed from. I hope that helps, and I hope you are able to get the answers you are lookikng for.
