My parents always say I only have negative memories, point out negative things and never say any good about them. Anyone else feel like this. And by the way I think it's only my parents who think like this. They made me feel like I had to prove that I had possitive memories so I tried telling them some but it didn't work. My brother said that one is an insult to me.

Hi T-Bird

Happy you have joined us here at HW. I have a lot of negative memories and sometimes have a hard time remembering the good ones over the bad but I know there in my head somewhere. I do wish you were getting more support from your parents on this. Are you seeing a dr and are you on any kind of meds?

Please keep us posted on how your doing hun were here to help you thru this.

Hi T Bird
I am not sure why but for some reason when we are a little down - the negative stuff always sticks out more than the good...which is annoying really..because it's so much healthier to recall the good memories :)
How did the conversation about negative memories come about between you and your parents?
Do you feel kinda grumpy about lots of things just now - coz its the end of the year and everyone is feeling the stress of xmas coming on - especially parents..
Do you have a photo album that you can look back on and share the good memories with your parents?
Let us know how you get on.
Take good care.

I remember alot more of the egatives than positives. Perhaps thats part of my problems.
