Does anyone have problems with tinnitus when under stress or over tired?  Mine is manifesting itself in the form of a whooshing type sound in my left ear coinciding w/ heart beat.  I only really notice it at night when the room is quiet.  Keeps me from sleeping.  I've had this before but it resolved on its own.  This time it is lasting longer and louder.  Thanks!

although largely now recovered, I have tinnitus, a high pitched whistle which has been investigated many times and a masker tried without help

Ive more or less accepted and learned to live with it, it comes and goes without connection to my anxiety levels, is very loud now as I type this

lots of info about tinnitus and self help groups on the net

Have you been to a doc for this yet? My husband kept complaining of a wosh noise in his ear so finally after a couple weeks of bugging him, he went to the doctor and found he just had fuild in his ear. However, I am not saying this is what it is, I am just throwing ideas out here.
I do hope you feel better. I myself have an ear full of fluid due to a sinuis infection.
Best wishes
