Okay, my Mom is driving me up the wall! ARGHHHHHHH!!! She's always got to have everything done YESTERDAY! Ugh! I'm in here at the computer and she's hollering to me from the other room about how I need to measure the new chairs so as to get an idea about how big the new end tables will need to be. Now it's after 11pm and we've just got back from Wal-Mart (after cleaning 3 offices) cuz we HAD TO get a storage drawer for my craft items (it couldn't wait until tomorrow!)
When we got home, I had to take all my craft stuff out of my big box and put it in the storage drawers we'd just got...it had to be organized tonight! Man!!! mad
On top of all this, I had to go get a PAP smear today. Our 2 new recliners were delivered and they're soooooo big and the sofa will come on Thursday. Our living room is gonna be crowded. I told her we could have them take it back, but she says it'll have to do cuz we didn't see anything better (true). She wanted a recliner and so there you go. Every time we look at lamps, which we need, she moans about how expensive they are. True, but we need them so we might as well bite the bullet. I wanted an area rug for the living room to tie all the pieces together, so to speak, but she started moaning about how she dreaded getting a rug cuz it would be filthy with people walking on it, blah, blah, blah...I told her that we should forget the rug cuz she'd have a seizure! She's got a LOT of OCD traits, though she denies it. She's getting on my last nerve! And to top everything off, my anxiety, though some better, is still making my days be less enjoyable by hanging around, sometimes just keeping me slightly on edge.
So there's my load of cr*p for now. Thanks for listening.
hugs,
janet

Hi Janet, no need to apologise...sound's like your mum is being a bit controlling!!! And the idea of a pap-smear is enough to make any gal anxious.  I hope you get a good night's sleep and things are a bit more chilled tommorow.  Gosh there is someone banging doors outside my office this is annoying!! (((hugs))

Doesn't sound very fun to me. I'm sorry you have to deal with this. But I also KNOW that you are a strong lady and can overcome anything! I've seen you do it. Hugs to you and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thanks all!
Today we went and picked up a dining table and chairs. I called the other furniture store and let them know that the recliners were too big for our apartment. We went and picked out another LR suite. Part of it will be delivered Saturday...one of the chairs was out of stock and will have to come from another state! Phooey!!! I've been borderline anxy all day long. I just keep on pluggin' on despite it. I keep hoping that if I don't give in to the fear, I'll stop feeling so anxy...is that how it works???? Geez, I sure want my regular life back!!

You're doing great janet (I'd like my life back too) I think we do just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other or we would be lost.  I know I'd be lost without this forum.  Stay strong and I hope things improve (((hugs))

Hi Janet, don't let the turkeys get you down (even if they are the MOM :) Can you quietly exuse yourself during these discussions and then come back to them. Like, Mom, I can't discuss this with you right now but I will talk to you about it in a half an hour. I do this in my relationships b/c I am over-reactive and emotional. I know this about myself so that is what I do and it works.
Take care.
