Just looking for some advice here. My aunt really stresses me out. She means well, but I just get totally drained when I am around her. I really try to keep my interactions with her to a minimum. She means well, but she has so many issues of her own and she believes that she knows what is best for everyone. She has so many opinions to give out, but can never ever take any opinions I give her. Is there any way that I can tell her that I am uncomfortable around her and that I feel bad and horribly anxious everytime I see her? I do not want to hurt her feelings, but I cannot keep making up excuses and avoiding phone calls. If she wasn't my aunt we definitely would not be friends.
Ugh...any advice?
Thanks!

maybe you should tell her what you told us, wait till the new year and write to her, asking for more consideration from her

I had to bump this up today of all days feeling like hades I decided to just let loose on family members that have used and abused me to no end over the yrs
They were not there for Mom nor are they for dad
Yes I took it on but sometimes it would be nice for them to help out too
They are all aware of health issues and still just " pass it off to Lyn" .................well
The passing off got stopped as of today
I dont usually blow but I did a good job today felt like a bleeding volcano
One of my New yrs resoultions in fact and I dont feel guilty AT ALL
" mommy had a baby and its head popped off.....song keeps going thru head "
I do wish I felt better physically to be dancing up a storm........but with the blow up comes sores and I have a headache from Hades to boot
Sorry all
Just needed to vent .......
Thanks to anyone that reads

Hey good for you Lyn, I'm glad you finaly let them have it!!! It feels pretty awful at the time (especially this time of year) but you'll hopefully be treated better as a result.  I wish I was as brave as you.  My sister in law bosses me around like a little child and I just take it because I hate causing "tension".  Everyone just lets her do it "that's her nature" but it is sooo annoying.  I think next year it might be "my nature" to ignore her completely!!! I think Harry might be onto something with that letter writing.  Lyn I hope your day improves ((((hugs)))
