for some anxiety sufferers who lack social skills, or who are housebound, xmas is usually the worst day of the year

not all familys are supportive and these sufferers tend to have no friends or people who care for them.

if you know any of these people please try to help them on the day

they usually like the radio on but not on xmas day as the xmas carrols make them even more miserable

at least in australia, we are officially allowed to celebrate xmas day again, it was discouraged due to political correctness, as liable to offend non christian immigrants

Saf opening the presents for her stocking on our bed first thing in the morning (guess the cat will try to join in this year too)

NO washing up ,tidying , cleaning......other that putting wrapping paper in a black sack....and no I DON'T feel guilty believe it or not - suppose it's because it IS a tradition of mine.

Having an alcoholic drink before xmas dinner!!!

Dressing in best clothes - I really love this , looking real posh even though I'm gonna be cooking (visualise me stuffing turkey - apologies to veggies eyes )

Lyn - we do leftovers on boxing day - all cold though. Then we just have bit & bobs like cheese & crackers in the evening.

Oh , and the greatest tradition of all - waddling around groaning - or to put it another way - eating way too much!! It's just got to be done :-)

Usually I am sure to watch x-mas shows. (this yr only saw How the grinch stole christmas and the santa clause 2)
Put up a tree (now im back to real ones :-) )
Decorate the tree as a family (this yr that was me and bf :-) )
We used to decorate the lawn (now I dont have a lawn so thats on hold.
We used to do "Santa" presents EARLY in the am and always had to wait for dad to get outta bed. (we are talking 5 am or earlier) Now we do "santa/mom" presents after christmas eve dinner we go back to moms and open there then go home.
I think I started a semi tradition of taking a trip in the winter time (after christmas)
I think bf and I are sorta starting a tradition of getting ornaments for the tree yearly.
Didnt do this yr but is usually tradition to decorate tree and open presents to christmas music (i remember when it was on 8 trak)
