I was just wondering if anyone has ever tryed hypnosis for there anxiety-p/a,

I know that anxiety is just one's mind that is out of control with unreal thought's and all but if so can hypnosis really work to help control those unwanted thoughts. If it can help one to stop smoking why can't it help stop anxiety as well?

Hypnosis rarely works for smoking or anxiety. Try it, but likely you'll need something else. Most people who are anxious cannot even BE hypnotized.

When I went to a Psycologist years ago for my first panic attack/anxiety he taught me self-hypnosis as a means of short circuiting a panic attack and doing deep relaxation.  At that time I was able to become panic free for over a year (during that year I lost both my grandmothers and a close aunt and was pregnant!)

I'd say it is definitely worth a shot - especially if he provides you with additional tools.

Good Luck!

I do self hypnosis, and I find it helps me allot. Years ago I went for hypnosis when I was agoraphobic and it worked for me, I was severly ancious and they had no trouble hypnotising me, I would say it's worth a try. Good Luck.
