I seem to have chest pain of some type every day. I have had all test run in regards to my heart and everything looks fine. I still worry about my heart when I guess I shouldn't since I have these symptoms. Anybody else live with daily chest pain due to anxiety?

I used to for about a year. It was all related to anxiety/panic. It is more than likely muscle pain, which i refused to believe when they told me cause it was sharp pains not dull pains. But i noticed that after a panic attack especially my chest would hurt. Your whole body tenses up so muscles hurt everywhere. If you have had all the tests run on your heart then try not to worry about the pains. They will go away. I know its easier said then done.

Thank you Hunniebee. I have had chest pain since I have had anxiety. I guess I will have to live with it and know it is nothing serious.

I have chest pain all the time and i hate it as it is one of my triggers and has become a vicious cycle....Get a chest pain....Think your having a heart attack...panic....get a chest pain....think your having a heart attack....panic....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the beat goes on (pun intended).

I like you have had all the test and they are all normal but it still scared the stew out of me. Same boat here. I just try deep breath and keep going and like it was said easier said than done.

Please do go and get checked out if you are having it constantly
I am not saying it is anything but it is better to have tests dobe and put your mind at ease
I do get pains as well but I know it is from my anxiety

I guess it is just chest wall pain. I really don't have it constantly. Mostly in the car while I am driving since I have to sit still and focus on my chest.

Im glad to hear that I am not the only one who is encountering DAILY chest pains. I have been to the ER as well several times thinking that something was wrong with me and after all the tests, they told me it was anxiety. What I dont understand is that take right now for instance, Im sitting here typing, I dont feel anxious, short of breath, or any of the other symptoms associated with an anxiety attack. So can anyone tell me why I have this ongoing, daily, persistent dull yet noticeable pain and tightness in my chest?

I also go through because I tense up all the time and it gets to hurting so much in my chest wall. The doc said I had "costochondritis" which is and inflammation/arthritis of the chest wall from an old car wreck and other injuries where I broke almost all my ribs and sternum in three places which collapsed my right lung. It is not life threatening but very annoying to say the least :) You can type this into the HW search and find out more great info.

Also to learn to relax, please check out our Anxiety-Panic Resources thread at the top of our forum page, and when you scroll down to the post by "wen" you will find several links that are so helpful to many on here, plus a link to MoodGYM, which is a wonderful free online CBT course to help you deal with your anxiety :)

Good luck and please go see your doc to get further tests to ease your mind if you are not convinced :)

Hey there Family,

Chest pain is a sx of anxiety plus many other problems................do get a good check up and if you and your Doctor feel the chest pain is anxiety induced OK.  Otherwise do ask for further evaluation.

GERD is another disorder that causes Chest Pain. rolleyes

Take care
