a recent post prompts my mention of a common anxiety problem
fear of choking when swallowing food when eating in public, causing a choking fit with everyone there looking at you., and thinking badly of you
in extreme cases sufferers will refuse to eat or cant make themselves swallow the food in their mouth
the answer is simple, just keep chewing and if distracted you will swallow without realising it as the swallowing reflex is automatic yeah
anxiety easily effects the throat, which has a very complicated arrangement of muscles, valium relaxes these muscles, so does some alcahol
anxiety can also cause a lump to be felt in the throat when none is there, sometimes a reassurance from a throat specialist is needed
swallowing problems can result in living on soup or liquid foods only for long periods, sometimes being too embarrassed to tell doc about it
recovered former longtime anxiety and panic attack sufferer and helper of other sufferers  but no training or  qualifications in medicine or psychology, any remarks that may be taken as advice must be confirmed with doctor or other health professional
