Welcome to Healing Well.

I take 20 mgs of Lexapro a day.

I only had side effects for the first few weeks I was on it, but I don't have any side effects anymore.

the usual dose range is about 10 to 20 but I would start at 5
side effects can be many and varied
as with all antidepressants it needs tio be taken for 2 to 6 weeks, to see whether it will help with your anxiety or not
sometimes these meds simply dont work at any dose, a thing that some docs dont want to hear
lexapro is one of many prozac type meds
recovered former longtime anxiety and panic attack sufferer and helper of other sufferers  but no training or  qualifications in medicine or psychology, any remarks that may be taken as advice must be confirmed with doctor or other health professional
