I am having a rough week! I have had the pounding heart not fast just hard pounding and being able to feel it beating hard when I am sitting still. And I I have been getting thoughs bad yucky wave of bad. I have been very tired and sleepy and feeling very upset. It has just been bad. Also It seems when I should be getting happy about something, I get all wound up and heart pounding and feeling bad instead of happy. To add to it I also have this odd pain behind my ear on my head like on the bone. I dont know what it is but My mind keeps telling me it must be something bad ( of course! ) My sis also who has P/A too has been having a really rough time as well. So I have noticed her and Myself seem to have bad days very close together if not on the same day. I wonder if there is a reason we both have bad days at the same time. Do you think the weather could have something to do with? I dont know just grabing at straws at this point. Sorry to ramble sometimes it just helps to let it all pour out!

I'm sorry I just have to suggest ruling out Lyme Disease as a possibility for you and your sister.

The current tests for Lyme Disease are not reliable and diagnosis should be by symptoms and previous exposure to ticks/history of tick-bites.

Its just that you describe such intense anxety, random pains and the fact that your symptoms increase at the same time as your sisters. Perhaps a coincidence or psychic sisterly bond.

However, many of us on the Lyme forum experience an increase in symtoms at certain time in the month, for myself corresponding with my menstrual cycle.

If you guys have any other odd symptoms like insomnia, early waking, cognitive problems (such as poor concentration, forgetfulness) tingling or numbness in extremities, muscle twitching etc. it might be something to look into.

Just a suggestion. I wish you & your sister best of health in any case. PEACE!

((((HUGS)))) crying ,

Take some time out to breathe - you will probably realise when you do this that your shoulders have been creeping up to your ears with tension , the more you relax the less pain you should feel. I remember having a pain on top of my head , I was so paranoid I kept poking it and winding myself up about it - I was making the pain in the end due to stressing and prodding.

Harry mentioned CBT which can really help ,

try this

Hope you feel better soon '

I know exactly what you are talking about 'crying'..
The pain bahind the ear can be really intense..and 'yes' my wild imagination took over and came up with terrible conclusions..my doc has assured me that it's just muscle tension - phew! lol
Heart pounding is a great 'workout' for the cardiac muscles lol..nonetheless scary though - sheesh!
Smiler and Harry have given great advice :-)
Just wondering if you have meds for anxiety/depression?
How about going to the doc and discuss how you are feeling these days..maybe time for a checkup anyhow.
Take good care.

There are 3 that work at the office I go to and I got the nice one! Yeah!
He was very calming and funny and understood where I was coming from and didnt treat me like a drug pusher like a doc in the past did.
He thinks I should just up my dose to the full 20mg of lexapro and told me no more xanax cause I was having some odd effects from it. He gave me another drug to get me over the hurdles but I cant remember the name of it so when I get it filled I will post what it is. But he also told me its okay this is not my fault and if the lexapro 20mg isnt working then come back and he will work with me until I find something that will help. I felt so much better being there then on the way home I got all panicy. So I think I finally found a doc who cares. But yes I am afriad to take pills so it is hard to up my dose cause I am afraid of what will happen. Thanks for all of your advise
