Hello Everyone
Its Nurse Brandi and I had a very interesting evening please read carefully,I think most of us all believe or find it hard to accept that there is just something with our heads that make us have Anxiety and panic attacks and if you are like me you are always looking for an answer, My boss is a RN and she has mutiple heart problems and she was having some chest pain today and needed to use her Nitro but she did not want to be alone so she asked me to sit with her, while I was with her she was telling me about her heart problems and she proceded to tell me about these spells she used to have and it sounded excatly like a panic attack but when she would have one they would admit her to the hospital for observation due to her heart issues, well they finally found the culprit to HER problem and it was a blood presure med that she was on that was making her have the panic attack like episodes. Anyway I proceded to tell her that what she was explaining to me was what I experience when I have a Panic attack and my PA do not seem to have any specific triggers they just happen out of the blue at any time, she told me just for a shot in the dark to look up PHEOCHROMACYTOMA on the internet when I got home to see if it was something I thought I should ask my Dr. about looking into.  It is a usually benign tumor that is rare because it is extremely hard to diagnos, it usually apears on your adernal gland and will as I understand from what I have read will at any givin time release norepinephrin, and epinephren and other hormones that will cause the symptoms of a PA or your other wise known fight or flight response wich will result in all our PA symptoms such as rapid heart rate, palpatations, Elevated or in some cases decreased blood presure, fatigue, faintness, dizziness, chest pain or discomfort, abdominal problems, and so on. Anyway I know its a shot in the dark but I plan on making a Dr. apt. and asking my Dr. if this a possibility and see what he thinks, it cant hurt anything and I was surprised at the symptoms and I know realiscally that this is prob not what is wrong with me I just have GAD, with PA but I would really like to be able to find a reason for it, not that I just have it. I also felt that this was information that should be shared with you all because anything is possible.

Hello Mommy

Thank you so much for sharing this information with all of us. I will have to go check this out. Please let us know what the findings are when you see your dr. This may be something worth my dr checking out himself.

That's interesting. Fortunately I don't think I have this as I am learning to control how I am w/o meds.

Let us know how you go , peace of mind to you.
