Sometimes I waske up out of a sleep very quickly thinking i am going to throw up or can't breath. usually it only lasts a few seconds, but i just think its a bit weird and wondered if anyone else had this problem.
Always grateful for the blessings I do have!

Sure do but mine is caused from drug induced panic. Boy that breathing part will get your attention pretty quick. I would say it is caused by anxiety.

Because it only last a few seconds I find it hard to believe it is anything other than anxiety. Just don't give it much attention and it will most likely go away.

KEEP THE FAITH

I got really bad breathing at night for a while , I was scared to go to sleep and couldn't lay down - propped myself up with pillows.

When I finally realised it was anx I took action - it was scary but it worked and I have had no trouble since.

I layed down in bed , breathing bad , I forced myself to relax and said to myself - if I am not alive in the morning then so be it , it was meant to be , I closed my eyes and let myself go - I woke in the morning having the best sleep I've ever had :-)

Smiler tongue

I know anxiety can cause that BUT

if you are using down pillows and comforters and do not know you have an allergy to feathers or dust, those can make you feel sick and make it hard to breathe.

Good calls :-)

re; down pillows , totally - best to get anti-allergy ones.

My mum used to keep me away from stuff like that , and animals cos of their fur etc... even my doc thought I had asthma when I was young , and I got rediagnosed recently as an asthmatic too - but it was all anx........I'm wondering now how it all started? How young can you get anx?
