I would make sure for one that your doc is on board with this and secondly that the herbs you speak of can be tolerated with the klonopin......
.some meds cannot be mixes with natural meds
I wish you all the best
yet again i hope this is with your docs okay amitrptyline is a hard med to w/d from
Keep us posted please

Be so careful going off your meds. Really good idea to tell your doc. The doc will help you wean off them real slow so you do not go through withdrawl. I did this about 12 years ago. It really took a while for my body to feel normal again. If you can not do this with your doctor because you can't speak to him because you did not pay him, maybe you can talk with their office and work something out, or go to another doctor who is well aware of meds (addictionologist-yes, I realize it is a perscription, but this is what they are called) and let them help you. Also, before you go ahead and start natural remidies I hope you are seeing someone who is going to guide you with this.
It is important to keep in mind why you went on the meds in the first place, because you will have to deal with that again when you are off the medicine.

no he won't help, im serious when i say i can't call him . I have to pay a minimum of 75 to see him to tell him this. And i disagree that we need meds. I dont want to take meds ever again if i can help it. I want to find out what the cause is instead of just treating it. But of course don't know that either. I do have less nervousness and shaking even though i know its there.
Maybe ill try a free clinic someday but its an hour away and only one day a week for like 3 hours

Hi ttwarrior,

I just happened to catch the title of your post and wanted to see what was up.  I'm on low dose Amitriptyline for my fibromyalgia pain.  I'm only on 20mg a night.  I tried tapering off of it just a couple of months ago and I went really slowly with it.  HOLY CRAP, it is a nasty drug to taper off of and I'm only taking 20mg's!  So go REALLY slowly with it.  Maybe alternate days and just monitor how you're doing.  I had to stop the taper.  My fibro came back with a vengence, so I know it is a drug that I need to be on.

The symptoms I got were intense anxiety (not good), very emotional, depression, tremors, and of course my fibromyalgia pain and sleep disturbances.

Please, take it slow.  I can't emphasize that more!  Good luck.  I truly pray that you can do this without doctor supervision.

Ginny

Almost forgot to mention this.... I didn't get any withdrawal symptoms until I was at the beginning of my second week of tapering down. So the symptoms might not happen right away for you.  Probably different for each person, but I wanted to give you the heads up on that.

As others have said tapering off meds is not something to do alone...do you have a PCP to help you or something? Some meds can be very dangerous to come off of improperly...I do not know if this med is or isnt but be aware...

Hang in there and good luck one way or another...

Keep us posted...

Usually doctors will accept payment plans (in some areas they may have to). See if you can send $5/month to avoid the collections...

Some states also have advocy groups that help people avoid collections/bankruptcy by negotiating with creditors.

Best of luck,
Karen

Hi there
Just wondering how you are making out has been awhile and also whther you followed up on Karnes advice and input
I can nor wont EVER complain about Ontario Canada's health Coverage ever again
We are covered thru Ontario Helth Insurance Program ( no fees ) and basically only pay 2 dollars per RX and all docs appointments even all the " specialists" I see are covered
Hoping you are okay
Let us know please
Lyn
