I was wondering if anyone has expereinced a prolonged dry throat. I drink and drink and feel like I'm sufforcating. Its like a dry patch that won't go away. It started when I had a panic attack this morning and has been this way for about 3 hours now. It is REALLY bothering me.

I dont know what it is, try swallowing some salad oil slowly, see doc if it continues and insist on him examining your throat

docs often want to prescribe ear drops without looking in your ears, or foot ointment without looking at your throat, and so on eyes

I'm not sure if I experience the same thing, I do get what feels like dry patches in my throat that don't go away even if I drink something, but I don't get the feeling of suffocation with it.  It just feels like a dry spot that makes me cough, which makes it worse.  If it's still bothering you, or comes back, it may be best to check with your doctor just to be on the safe side.
