So i am waiting for tomorrow, when i am going to go get checked up at the doctor on some issues ive been having lately, and all of a sudden i kept on thinking about dying and my heart rate went up a ton for like an hr.

This is prob a stupid question, but i have heard of high blood pressure damaging body parts over time, but can it in one night? i'm still worried about going to sleep.

Don't let it add to your worries. I don't think a panic attack could do something like that. Imagine how much your blood pressure jumps when you go for a run or something. Your body is resilient and can handle it in stride.

I hope you have a good night.

Hi PSUguy I just read your post and history on the other post forum and it sounds like you are under a lot of stress right now about your heath, and I'm so sorry if you did have a panic attack as is like a feeling of dying but I would talk with your pdoc about this as well, but you my take sometime and try to relax from it and calm your heart rate down and I'm not sure about your high blood pressure doing that in one night as you are still young person but if you still have worry's about it you may call the ER about it and see what they have to say.

Hi PSU,

Please try not to worry about the physical side of things - it will make your anxiety worse. Panic attacks cannot harm us and cannot cause long term problems.
Our BP raises and drops in certain situations in our lives anyway eg. exercise etc so so if it raises during a panic attack, it will not harm you.

I am 24 and had high BP for a while due to my medication and the doctors weren't concerned at all because I was young and physically healthy. Our bodies can cope with anxiety, its what we are built for.
Please try not to worry. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor and get checked out to put your mind at rest.

Take care
