HI, THIS IS MY FIRST POST. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH PANIC DISORDER, ANZIETY AND DEPRESSION FOR 13 YEARS NOW. I FOUND THIS WEB SITE 2 MONTHS AGO AND HAVE BEEN READING YOUR POSTS. IT IS AMAZING TO KNOW THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE FEELING LIKE THIS.  I UNDERSTAND TOTALLY HOW YOU ALL FEEL AND HAVE COMPASSION FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE DEALING WITH THIS AWFUL CONDITION. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THIS SITE AND ALL OF YOUR POSTINGS HAS HELPED ME A GREAT DEAL. I HAVE GONE TO DRS AND THERAPISTS AND SO FOURTH AND HAVE NOT GAINED MUCH HELP FROM THEM. I HAVE LEARNED ALOT HERE. WE CAN UNDERSTAND EACHOTHER, FOR WE ALL HAVE SIMILAR SYMPTOMS. WE LEARN FROM EACHOTHER COPING SKILLS. IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS WHEN I EXPIREINCED AN  ATTACK I WOULD REMEMBER THE POSTINGS AND TALK MY SELF OUT OF IT, AND SAY THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO SURVIVE THESE ATTACKS. I WOULD HAVE JOINED THIS SITE EARLIER TO GIVE MY INPUTS,BUT THE THOUGHT OF IT  WOULD GIVE ME ANXIETY.    BUT NOW I AM READY TO SHARE. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOU WHO SHARE THEIR EXPIERIENCES. IT IS A LEARNING AND COPING TOOL FOR ALL OF US. GOD BLESS

Good Morning Lynn, hope you are feeling better today. Sorry to hear of you attack. I hate them so bad. I know what you mean about the pounding head and heart. I have had panic attacks for 13 years, but really never had the pounding in the head, until just recently. I feellike my head is going to explode because it pounds so bad, then i feel like im going to pass out, and then the bad headaches come. Is that normal? when i feel this I get even more nervouse then i start to think my blood pressure is high and that I will have a stroke or something.I am suppose to start taking lexapro, dr adivsed this to me about 2 months ago, but i am so terrified of taking medications. i have tried prozac and wellbutrin in the past. Prozac seemed to help, but i began to get terrible brusing, very large bruises,dr took me off, said i was having al allergic reaction. the wellbutrin gave me severe depression. I am very scared of side affects. I hate to even take any of the over the counter medicines, even a simple aspirin. My life has changed in so many negative ways. Before any of my attacks i was never affraid of medicine. I wonder why this happens to most of us? Any way i am glad you pulled through your attack.Hope you dont get another one. thanks for your support. have a wonderfull day and God Bless You...Take Care
