Hi

an antidepressant may work for depression only, anxiety only, or both , or neither

its not unusual to try several antidepressants before finding 1 that gives you any help at all

I eventually found one that was a big help for my anxiety but have never found any that helped at all with my depression

mirtazepine is an anidepressant

your diazepam or valium dose is fairly low

propranalol is a beta blocker and helps calm the body but not the mind

bad reactions to combinations of meds are possible but I suspect you havent yet found an antidepressant thats ever helped with your anxiety or stress, the mirtazepine is at a high dose and should be tried for about 6 weeks, it mat cut in suddenly

it will also help if you learn new ways of relaxing and calming yourself, especially you need to let go of all muscle tension
