Hey Pamela,

I was hoping you would post. Glad we could chat today and I hoped it helped. Im glad about the effexor and he's starting you on a low dose too which is what I did and then I increased. The other med is likely to be a benzodiazapine which can be used for times of really bad anxiety. I would only tend to use the benzo when you really need it if I were you. Once the effexor kicks in, that should help with your anxiety.

Really pleased you went to the doctor hun. You take care and keep in touch.

just wanted to let everyone know that the effexor is starting to work i think, i havent been waking up for the past three mornings panicking. the thoughts are still there just not as bad, and still some during the day i get the fast heart beat and stuff but i'll take that any day over what i have been experiencing. i'm still being patience for the effexor to start working completely. but i also wanted to add that u guys are awesome and thanks for helping me get through this.

Thats great news. It does take a while to kick in properly but its great that you notice a difference already. You are making good progress. Remeber that it does take time but you will get there. The main thing is that you are determined to help yourself and that determination will keep you going.

Take care and keep in touch xxx

Thats the best way to do it. Take one day at a time. How are you getting on with the increase to 75mg? Are you staying on that dose?

yes i think i'm going to be staying on that dose til i go back on april.17th then we'll see what he thinks. the increase isnt really bothering me just alittle more nervous, but i'm sure that will pass after that dosage is in my system awhile.
