Hello friends, has anyone felt their eyes feeling weird while having a panic attack? When i first started having panic attacks i remember 13 years ago of having this strange sensation in my eyes, like my sight was going to go. that feeling has left me for awhile now, but today i had a panic attack and it happened again. could this be part of an panic attack symptom? anyone else have this. thanks for any input. God Bless

Could be. Could also be ocular migraines, and ocular migraines can definitely be triggered by anxiety or panic. It never hurts to have an eye exam but you're probably okay.

Eye stuff was talked about in a post here recently. Did you read it? Maybe your mind latched onto it and it's coming out because of that.

I do have the funny vision and blurred at times to as well I have those silver spots shooting when I stand to fast or get upset real quick like panicking

It is always a good idea with most disorders to get your eyes checked by the Optometrists

You never made mention of having problems with headaches so I am wondering if you

HI, thanks for the input.yes i do suffer from migraine headaches, its not that kind of feelings in the eyes. when i am going through a panic attack my eyes feel thick inside, and it feels like my eye sight is going to go. its hard to explain. i also get sparkles, like you would see in the snow, shiny sparks everyday. its weird, i dont know what that could be, also blue sparks. the sparks and sparkles worries me at times, but i have had those things for quite a while now. its part of me i tell my self. anyone get them. what are they. thanks all for your help support and advices. God Bless

Well, these things are hard to describe. My ocular migraines are like big, opaque grey clouds, but there's sparkly stuff in them. I also have little "pinpoint explosions" that are blue, and sometimes reddish looking sparkley stuff without the opaque grey background, and I can kind of see through that.

To really get to the bottom of this you'd have to go to an ophthalmologist or a neurologist. It may be a separate condition from your anxiety but is aggravated by it.

hi there, i figure these corolful spots to be somewhat connected to my migraines. i did see a neurologist a while back, he did mention that it could be related to the migraine, he used aanother word for it, i forgot what it was, it was almost 10 years ago.now that i think about that visit he said peolpe with migraine probles can have these things without the pian of the headache. back than it didnt happen to me as much as it does not. it seems to me everyday i have these sparkly things. now that i keep some kind of track of my migraines, i have noted that a week befor a migrain hits see hues of green or purple, and also blue sparks, and occasionaly i have seen red like fireworks, it is really weird. i have had cat scans done a few years back.thanks all for your inputs. god bless

I get something that might be like you're describing here. Sometimes I see like little sparks, or something that looks like a pixel in thin air. Most of the time it white/blue, but it can be other color. And sometimes in low light environments, it's like someone would dim the lights all of a sudden. For me it seems to be very closely related to stress. I've had my eyes checked by an optometrist, full package deal with retinal photography, and the vision's more than perfect. I've seen a doc, he didn't seem to find it alarming, he associated it with high blood pressure from stress, told me to quit smoking drink less and eat right.

For me getting checked even though I doubted it was something bad took some stress of my mind.

I too get vision problems as one of my main physical symptoms. It is horrible!! I have had many eye exams and they all say my eyes r fine but they don't seem to be processing what they are seeing and it gets blurry, spotty, and wavy.
I hope for u it doesn't continue.

This is also my biggest problem. Hard to ignore. Can't tell myself they're not real, I might end up seeing things that doesn't exist for real. Lol. This issue always brings up the "what if brain is damaged it will kill you soon." Right now I'm still trying my best to ignore them and lessen my fears from dying from it. Instead I thank God for this and it makes me feel much better. I shouldn't worry more, I don't want to carry the weight of my worries, coz doing it makes everything worse anyway. There was a day, maybe two days ago without having visual disturbances, I'm not exactly sure if they were completely absent that day or I just did good on not paying attention or looking for them.

Ocular or visual migraines (Scintillating Scotoma), pulsating shadow in my vision, flashing orbs, flickering shadow when moving my eyes side to side, intense after images, spots of after images without source, TV screen flickers on my peripheral, mild flashes and dimming of lights in an instant, shaky vision, pressure in the eyeball sometimes, bloodshot, itchy and dry eyes.
