Okay, I know this isn't a music forum, but sometimes, music can be very calming, relaxing, or invigorating, so look over me here for posting this! tongue
I've just found a song that I've added to my collection. It's called "You" by Fisher.
It's a song she wrote for her baby son. Very very pretty! And of all the ways in the world to first hear this song, it was on the most recent episode of "Bones" (on the Fox network) entitled "The Boneless Bride"! Weird, I know, but as soon as I heard the song play at the end of the epi, I knew I had to have it! Anyone else have some songs that they love to listen to over and over again???

Music!

Yet another thing about getting on the anxiety med...I can enjoy music again!

I'm an indie rock hipster dufus, but if some of you anxiety sufferers are looking for something different, e-mail me (address in profile) and I can send you some very interesting mellow sounds.

Hmm, like alternative rock myself... currently in my CD player--> Three Days Grace, Evans Blue, 30 Seconds to Mars, 10 years... Some of that would probably make most of you more anxious but it seems to calm me oddly.

Explosions in the Sky, Mazzy Star, Lush, Throwing Muses, Doves, old U2, Okkervil River, Son Volt, Sonic Youth, Talking Heads, Guided by Voices, Cat Power, Broken Social Scene, old Modest Mouse, Ramones, Tom Waits, Swervedriver, Stone Roses, Bright Eyes, Bob Dylan, Macha, Bedhead, and the Pixies, of course.

Quite a variety, I guess.

Out of all the songs you folks have listed, the only one I recognize is 100 Years (which I have! LOL!)
I love the mellow 70's, like Fleetwood mac, The Eagles, Bob Seger, and so forth! :)

Neil Young is AWESOME. I have a record of his called "Broken Arrow" he did with Crazy Horse. It's basically a really loud jam session, but some of the melodies are beautiful. The band is really loose, too, which caused some critics to give it bad reviews but I actually think it's one of the stronger aspects of the record. Loud guitars, but a loose, relaxing back beat.

janetlee, you mentioned a song by Fisher....have you heard her one called " I Will Love You"? It is gorgeous! I love it.

A song I just LOVE to listen to when I am depressed or anxious and it just seems to put some lightness in my heart is...."Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. That song is soo catchy, and the lyrics soo uplifting...you cant help but smile. :D
