....Yes Folks its almost Easter and we usually share and trade easy recipes and fun ideas for the kids and parents to do for this Holiday as we did for Christmas and that went over very well
Hoping this does as well

It is the Beginning really of Spring and all the new that will come and all the old that should be tossed away

It is alot of fun IMO and from past experience to share ideas for recipes and crafts or egg hiding /coloring ideas ..........

I am hoping this will catch on as well as others have for Holidays

May you all have a great Holiday ,Be safe and Drive carefully .......

God BLess

Easy Easter Bunny Cake ........Anyone can do this ......

You need to make 3 round cakes dont matter if they are white or chocolate

Use one cake for body and one for face

The third one you take a small to medium size glass and put in centre of 3rd cake to take out that piece
** this is for the tail **

Now you take the rest of third cake and make the bunny ears vey easy just cut basically in half and you will have the curve ( from where you took out tail) for the ears......

Place the Bottom or body on the bottom ( use a big or fair size board cover with tinfoil) and then add face and your ears....all to do  now is to put the piece you took out for the tail on the bottom  cake

For decorations add smarties or something simuliar for eyes ....... a big round candy for nose and use some red licorice ( or whatever you want ) for mouth .....

Dont forget to add some whiskers as well ........ .U can use licorice for this as well

I have made these for Cait and she has helped with decorating since she was about 2
Just an idea give it a shot like I said IF I CAN DO IT........Anyone can

Use whatever colour of icing you want......naturally put on after cakes cool and before decorating.........** I found it easier to take out tail when cake was cooled as well ........

Happy Easter All and Happy Baking .......
Hope someone will add their fav recipe whether it is a dessert or meal and /or crafts and egg decorating ........Need some fun on this board EVEN though it is a/p we all can have fun .

Just cause the kids are older doesnt mean the easter egg hunt has to stop...My family adapted the hunt to include something most or all kids into their teens or later love...MONEY...Instead of dinky toys hidden in the eggs hide some change or a dollar...The kids will love it...

Another thing that my bfs family does is they all get a colored hard boiled egg and they go around the table tapping the ends to one another and the last one left without cracks in their egg wins...(and you get to eat the eggs after...

Will think of more later...

How about decorating your own chocolate egg?

Buy a plain egg and stick different candy on with icing , and draw things on with writing icing.

Well looks like not to much input lol
Another one bites the dust.....

Easy Egg Craft for even Toddlers and Parents

Depending on amount of kids hardboil 1 to 2 dozen eggs
Color them all different shades
After cooling the night or however long you desire then take the shells off .......
Then seperate colors and literally crush the shells into small pieces not too small
Try keeping different colors together in lil containers
Need a few glue sticks or Aylmers glue
Have some Construction paper different colors as well

Then on the day you are going to have a few kids around and want to give them something easy to do and something they can have for a very VERY long time .........and can display for all to see

Set them all up around a table or on a floor with newspaper on it for protection..lol
Have your containers of colored shells all set out and glue sticks /glue for the kids as well as a sheet of construction paper and let them make a beautiful collage of all kinds of colored eggshells

My mom did this when Cait was about 2 and I still have the one she did hanging on wall
**When almost dried put into a frame you have and hang on the wall ( dont forget to date it )**

This is really easy to do and I know all 10 kids mom had just loved it and as posted I still have Caits hanging on wall and will as long as it will last and seems like forever ..........lol

Just a lil craft

Happy Easter all

Nests

Melt some chocolate and mix it with cereal (puffed rice , corn flakes - or for a real bird nest look - shredded wheat).

Fill bun cases with the mix.

Make a dip in the middle of each to make a nest shape.

Put a few mini chocolate eggs in each nest.

Cool until set.

Eat and enjoy yeah
