hi there, for a while now i have had upper back aches/pains, and front area breast bone, ribs aches and pains aslo. i was sent for blooed work, xrays etc. my.dr. said it is mechanical, and he refered me to a phsiotherapist. i know that i have always been a shallow breather, and rememebr going to the hospital and other things and they take my oxegen level, they always say its a bit low, then they say to take some deep breaths, as soon as i start doing that my oxegen level goes up to normal. i have quit smoking for a year now, and i believe my breathing has gotten shallower.

i told my physiotherapist of this, and she said that is probably where my problem with my aching ribs, back, and chest muscles and rib problems all come from. she gave me some breathing exercises for DEEp breathing and other things.

i remember reading a post by Harry a while back and how he found scuba and the type of breathing required. i also knotice wheni am having a panic attack that i pretty much quit breathing (my girlfriend pointed that out to me,while i was having a p/a).

so it all makes sence to me , shallow breathing, and lack of oxegen to my brain, and the shallow breathing not moving my ribs/upper muscles and other things not to move and contract and extract the way they should be. so i think i am going to start to do some exercises. making my heart pump, making me work my cardio, ill TRY to do this very soon, but i was thinking of all this in my head for a while now. please tell me what you all think. maybe im just babbling and hoping for soemthing that wont help i dunno...later Francis thanks everyone
