I finally got a job at a child care center that has took me forever to get. I had it 2 weeks everything was fine and I got attached to the kids. Well last Monday my anxiety and depression got the best of me. This is the 3rd job I've quit because of my depression. Now no one can depend on me and my family has lost faith in me. Has this happen to anyone else? I talked to my boss and she was nice about it but she had to have someone who could be dependable and consistant. But then she said that she needed someone who she could trust to not hurt themselves or others. I have never done such things ever! But anyways how do I get over my fears and have a life like people my own age...I'm 21 and all I do is sleep and worry my life away!

Take heart JBrowneFan21! You're so very young and have a lifetime of adventure ahead of you. It's frustrating how long the medicines can take to work - and sometimes you need to try different ones. So give yourself the time you need to recover.

Make yourself get outside. Work with your hands. Feel the earth - it's good! Maybe find some volunteer work where you're around people. So often the very things we don't want to do, are the very things that make us feel better.

The Sun's shining you today. : )

Hey KMD330
I don't get on the web that much because I don't have a computer at home and get to check my mail and friend's house. Yeah I am a Huge Jackson Browne fan!!! I am not the normal younger person- I have a crush on him and I am 21! Oh well! He's amazing. Ok I sound crazy. But thanks for the advice I'm glad I'm not alone.
