Hi Kanobi
I have not heard of this but I imagine that someone will post and let you know if they do get the cravings for sugar ........

Added "sugar" into title but you can change it if you want especially if it means sugar and sweet things in general

It doesn't cause sugar cravings for me.  It has totally killed my appetite since I've been on it.  I only have those kind of cravings when I'm pms'ing, lol.

How has cymbalta done for your anxiety?  Are you still noticing a postive difference?

Hi Kanobi,

I am usually in the lupus forum, but I noticed your post. I also take Cymbalta and am having sugar cravings. I was on a diet and had lost 23lbs and then started Cymbalta and blew my diet. I guess this is a great question to pose to the doctor! let me know how it goes!

Hi Kanobi,

Sugar cravings may be caused by low blood sugar level.

I have found the following in the PDR drug info for Cymbalta (http://www.drugs.com/pro/cymbalta.html) in the Adverse reactions section

Other adverse events observed during the premarketing evaluation of Cymbalta (in other words "rare side effects") :
"Metabolism and nutrition disorders - Frequent (incidence 1/100): hypoglycemia and increased appetite."

Hope this helps.
