It's all good Twiggy2..and the fact that you can redirect your mind and let things pass like that means that you can cope with anything..you have discovered the secret to living with anxiety..keep up the good work!

I totally agree wih Maree on this
The music is and can be very relaxing but if you are able to "redirect"
that is a great step in itself

thanks for the input. Sometimes it gives me a bit of anxiety because i feel weird about it then i remember that its ok and reassure myself best i can that im normal lol, and if things get to wierd then i start my breathing and calming myself. I don;t think that i am totally anxiety free but working on it will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks again Twiggy2

I do that all the time...my wife is always amazed at how I memorize the lyrics of so many songs...she doesn't realize that it's because they're cycling in my head over and over...I cheat. : )

I told my psychiatrist about this, and said "...you know I had some silly song stuck in my head this morning."

By the way twiggy - there's no such thing as being anxiety free - it's part of being a human. It's kind of paradoxical, but the more we desperately strive to remove it, the more it sinks its teeth in - it's part of our anxiety disorder. Which kind of make sense - we're demanding something be removed that's an innate part of mankind - we want control more than anything. Once the teeth are in really deep, we need to seek counsel (and sometimes medication) to pry the jaws loose - which is a good thing.

But it really sounds like you're doing great. You recognize that you're not "crazy", and come to your brains rescue by doing things that help it relax and not excrete the chemicals that tell us the world is crashing down. : )
