Hi again everyone.
I just thought I would let everyone that knows me, how I am getting on.

I started a self study course of reflexology and am really enjoying it.
And this morning I got my provisional drivers licence!
I am still fighting to get my children back to live with me and that is going well too because the authorities can see that I have made great progress.
My agoraphobia is almost non-existant now, I still need to work on bringing my anxiety down more.
Gosh, I can remember a few months back when I was turning to this forum for help to get across the road the the post office!!!!
Thank you to everyone who haas supported me, you have been a god send!
Love to you all :-)

Chuckle,
Awesome that you're doing better! The key now is continue doing healthy things - not only because you'll likely feel better - but because they're just good and right things to do. If you ever find yourself having a setback, remind yourself of the progress you've made - and don't allow feelings of control to be the primary focus of your life - because we're never really in control. Those of us with anxiety seem to have an addiction to control - we put it on a pedestal and worship it hoping that if we serve that god and "do" things just right, we'll continue to be blessed with control. It's a facade! Life is so much BIGGER than that!
Keep up the good work. : )

I guess your time on this forum predates mine (or I'm just bad with names), but still, congratulations on the progress you've made. It sounds like you've come a long way. I agree that if you do have a set back, just try to take it in stride. Recognize it for what it is and focus on where you're really at now. Some ebbs and flows are inevitable, probably, but you've come so far you should be able to ride the surf. Congrats and Godspeed!

Thank you for your reply, very inspirational words there!
I do still let the anxiety control me to a certain extent if I am totally honest, I tend to walk round the supermarket saying 'I can't do it' over and over.

Hi everyone.
Well, I went to see my children yesterday and had to have another psychological assessment and shewas really pleased with the progress I have made.
I got home last night and Nick my b/f decided to throw me in at the deep end and book me a driving lesson for today!
I am soooo nervous - terrified!
The lady who is taking me out is lovely and had taught others with anxiety which helps ease my mind a little.

Awwwthank you all for your replies, they really mean a lot to me.
I used to sit at home alone thinking there was nothing to look forward to in life, this pushed me into depression to the extent that I was planning my escape from life. I felt I had lost everything when I lost my children but I never gave up the fight for a better life.
I wish everyone well, there is such a better life out there, just keep up your fight and I am sure happiness will come to you as it did me!
Love to you all
