For about three years straight (ages 23-26) I had anxiety so bad that it felt like there was a permenent vice around my heart. It was really difficult to get me to go anywhere. Anti-anxiety pills didn't help. Then the social phobia/anxiety and the vice went away. Now I often look really strange-- I have Tourette's, Schizoaffective Disorder, Exhaustion, Muscle Spasms, Paralysis-- and I'm not self-concious about them at all. Back then (23-26) I had no side affects at all.

Welcome
I do however disagree with what you have said about getiing rid of anxiety for good

YES it can be helped with many techniques support systems and other things but I have had it since 8 I am 53 and yes Iam getting better...it is a learning process

YOU HAVE to want to get better IMHO

I don't know what to say about this post other than I'm not sure what the point is. Sorry if I'm hard on you, but would you care to elaborate on what you did to get rid of the anxiety? What pills you were on? How many years ago was this? What do you mean when you say you had no side effects back then?

I was wondering tht myself. I aggree with Lyn that it never completely goes away. I, too have learned to cope with no meds but sometimes it is not easy. Take care and God bless.
