I've had that happen before, but I am not on meds.  I feel crazy when it's happening.  It's happened to me when I am driving, like the road looks weird / moving.  However, some of it may be a drop in blood pressure or if you have fluid on your inner ears, it can make your equilibrium out of balance.  I've had that happen to me before.  Sometimes when I am exercising on the floor, and I go to get up, I feel that gross vertigo feeling for a few minutes.  I checked w/ my doctor on that and that is when they told me about the blood pressure and I do have a buildup of fluid.  I've never been on that med, but meds do have side effects, so it never hurts to talk to your doctor about it.

I also think anxiety can cause mini-hallucinations. Even people without anxiety can see it. Lack of sleep can also cause this. Happens to me sometimes, like when I watch a floor, or a ceiling with textures, it may seem like the ceiling is moving, and the more it moves, the more anxious I get, and the more it moves. I think it has something to do with blurry vision from anxiety. I think mostly anyone can experience that by putting their eyes out of focus, and throwing in a bit of imagination. When I'm tired I see trails when I move my eyes, everything slightly bright is trailing. We all see trails all the time when we move our eyes, because we see things at about 20 images a second, and maybe being mentally exhausted, from either lack of sleep or anxiety can make it a bit more noticeable, as focusing on that all the time can. I've had my eyes checked for those eye problems, and they have perfect vision and everything. Blood pressure can cause slight vision artifacts. And as we know, anxiety means we sleep less, bad digestion, more stress, higher blood pressure, etc... I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet real vision problems are something you have all the time, not here and there during the day.

Not sure what could be causing this. Anxiety can cause just about anything, but having anxiety doesn't make you immune to other stuff. I experience phenomena not entirely unlike what you describe and was told they were ocular migraines. During the worst ones I feel like I'm going to faint, too. You may ask your doctor about it. Not all migraines cause headaches....that I know.

But, yeah, if you have anxiety and then you experience something bizarre like this it could easily trigger a panic attack. If you have the option, you might try to see a neurologist about it.

PS -- the cool thing about seeing a neurologist is that he's almost certainly going to order a C/T scan. When you get one you can request a copy from the techs. It's pretty cool to hang in your window. Not everybody has a picture of their BRAIN. It's a great conversation starter.
