Hi guys im new to the forum and been suffering from depersonalisation since beginning of the year.  I have this quite chronic its like im living for the moment and when i do stuff in the morning and i reflect in the afternoon it feels so very vague like its happened weeks ago, i feel so distant from everyone and everything like im on the sidelines looking in i feel robotic somehow and every feeling or thought i have seems over analysed.  Ive recently been prescribed citalopram to help with the depression but only been on them for 2 wks so need to give them time i guess.  I also suffer anxiety although not as bad as i used to be but the depersonalisation is chronic its with me 24 7 theres never a break from it.  I also have these staring spells like when your tired you feel staring and miles away although still aware of your surroundings this only started when the depersonalisation set in from a panic attack can anyone relate to all this? confused

welcome

if the citalopram works it may help with all your problems, it may take several more weeks

depersonalisation and derealisation are fairly common from anxiety, details on the net, dont worry about it

it will also help to get more exercise and learn new ways of calming and relaxing yourself
