Glad to see u again

I have gone thru severe weight loss from a/p and crohns I weigh under a 100 lbs and when I go to doc today I will hear it for sure

A/P can and will do so much to body and weight loss or the other end of the spectrum weight gain is always possible
Be well

POtluck,

I've lost weight over the last several months due to an increase in my anxiety/panic...my appetite is just not what it used to be.  I've also spent the last couple of weeks dealing with the weakness and lightheadedness to the point that all I wanted to do was stay in bed all day.  I'd get so lightheaded every time I stood or moved that I stayed in one place alot.  Thankfully, I've had a reprieve the last few days...feeling less funky in the head, still feel weak, but I've been doing alot less physical activity, so I'm sure that has something to do with it, plus having anxiety/panic makes me tired anyway.  Hope you feel better soon!

Hi POtluck

This is Kitt. Anxiety and some meds can cause the weight loss as well as combination of disease processess as Lyn mentioned.

Some of the new antidepressants are known for weight gain, sad to say I eat when I am happy and eat when I am sad.

I would see the P-doc first before I see anyone else and try the meds. That is just my opinion. yeah

If you went through 8 hours of tests, I would think you had a pretty good work up.  Do you feel you did?

Take care of you and nice to meet you. Keep posting.

Hey there,

Yes anxiety can cause you to fear that something was missed in the work up as it does happen but I hope in your case, you can get into a P-doc soon.

My GP wrote my meds for Depression and anxiety for years, it was just 2 years ago he threw up his hands and said I needed to see P-doc as she was the expert at choosing the meds.

We went thru many before we found a new one that appears to be working or maybe I just got better with therapy and acceptance of who I am, not what others told me I was.

Keep posting.
