What does "bump" mean???????

I am new here.  Can someone please tell me what the heck does "bump" mean???  confused

You write "bump" in a post when you don't have anything to say but you want the thread to go to the top where more people will see it. It's best not to do it a lot unless you're a moderator. I think that's the general rule of thumb, anyway.

Hi there
Anyone can do it .....
It will bring the thread up as Debaser said and to the front for others to see ...
For instance if it is on page 3 of the forum ...you can add input or bump it but if there is a couple of bumps there then the moderator will delete that bump and add a new one so there is not a whole lot of bumps ( only mods or Admin / or person that posted specifically can delete the post or bump)
So if you put a bump and then find you want it back up delete YOUR bump and add a new one
