Hi there
I am looking to find a good therapist in the Seattle area.
There are 2 important things I am looking for
#1 - Specialized or has a lot of knowledge on Anxiety disporders
#2 - Has a sliding scale or reduced fee option, as I do not have insurance

I have had GAD and Panic Disorder since 1999.
I have only used meds to maintain my illness.
I am really to work on getting better....or atleast get a little better
I know that I need ot see a therapist

Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

i wish i could help but i'm in MO. so not much help here. but welcome and good luck finding one. try asking your regular doctor for help with finding one thats what your looking for. or of your able to call a few in the phone book and ask them. maybe theres a group session you could go to that is free or cheaper then a single person session. just some ideas. sorry cant be of any more help. good luck and hope to see you around here more.
I am bipolar, have social anxiety, panic attacks w/agoraphobia , diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure. Life is short but i am not.

Hello Izzy

Welcome to Healing Well. I am going to post here the email address for your local Seattle NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) as they should be able to point you in the right direction to find a therapist in the area.
