I am taking Cymbalta 60mg once a day.  It's 7 weeks and I do feel a differance.  I have not had a panic attack in 5 weeks and my anxiety is much better.  However, I am feeling a bit tired.  I assume its from the medicine since all of my tests are normal.

Is anyone else on Cymbalta?  I would love to hear your experience with it.  Also, has anyone had any weight gain from it?

Thanks,
Mary

Hey Sunshine,

I know there are other comments in posts re Cymbalta but I can not find them.

I take 120 mg of Cymbalta, I am better on it but yes I do feel it is keeping my weight up, I don't know which is better to be thin or depressed and anxious.  I guess I eat when I am depressed so there is my answer on the weight question.

It is a good drug but I am still not sure it is working all the time.

Good Luck with your use of Cymbalta.

Thanks for your responses.

Kitt, I looked and couldn't find anything.  I recently lost some weight.  I'am concerned about gainning it back.  I guess we can't have our cake and eat it to lol!    (Hugs)

Have a good night,

Hi, I am now on 90 mg of Cymbalta and find this increased from where I started at 30mg then 60 and now 90mg, that now it constipates me. Before, on the lower dosage, I had no problems. Anyone out there with the same problem? It has been 4 days and don't even have the feeling of going or constipation but after 4 days, one wonders what is wrong. Please give a reply if it has happened to you. Thanks

Hello. Welcome to the forum.  I have not had this problem.  I would get in touch with your doctor.  I'am sure he can prescribe something for you or recommend something over the counter to help you.  I do know constipation is one of the side effects.

Eating more fiber may help you as well.  Good luck.

Take care,
Mary

Hello Abbie,

This is Kitt.  As I have IBS and take fibercon all the time, I never even thought of constipation being caused by Cymbalta, but yes that explains a lot.  Thanks for that.  I think your physician probably has a favorite OTC drug he likes to recommend for his patients so calling him is a good idea.

A Warm Welcome to our family, I hope you will stay with us and keep posting.
