Hello guys.  Looking for some opinions here, hoping someone has some answers!!! :-)

I know stresss, panic, and anxiety can play all sorts of games with your body and mind.   I am familiar with many of the games, and they are no fun to play!  nono

Anyway, I do have some questions about these chest pains, or chest discomfort that I tend to get.  I generally have the pains daily.  They are relatively constant.  I generally just have what feels like soreness around my left breast, and my left shoulder...that is where it's pretty constant.  Once in a while, it will be in the center, and often it goes like all across my collar bone, both on the left and right side.  The pain is not severe, in fact, I can feel it, and it's annoying, but I wouldn't even call it a pain, so much as soreness, discomfort, or an annoyance.

A lot of times, the discomfort will go away if I use Aleve.  Not always though, sometimes the Aleve just minimizes it, and sometimes the Aleve doesn't do anything for the pain.  But, often, it does get rid of it for me.

My question is, yes, these pains could be stress related.  I understand that.  Being often relieved by Aleve though, does anyone else have any idea what else could be causing the discomfort?  I am just looking for opinions here, and I understand noone can or will diagnose me online!

Again, just somewhat looking to ease my mind a bit until I can get to the doctor.  And, if nothing else, I want to be educated so when I go to the doctor, I know what kinds of questions to ask.  Plus, these pains are odd to me, and I just want to get different ideas of what could be going on.

Thanks to you all, who have been so kind to me!

This is a great board!

Quick question...I am not saying that I do have low potassium...like I am not giving myslef that diagnosis, but when you had low potassium, did you guys have the chest pains? And if so, where were they, and what did they feel like????

THANKS EVERYONE!

I had my potassium drop about 10 years ago.

I had chest pain, difficulty breathing, and a rapid heart beat.

The chest pain was not severe, but annoying.  Had it in the center and across the shoulder area.

Just as Lyn said, I would have the whole blood workup done.

Good Luck
Mary

Yes, I do realize how important potassium is. Actually, in my Mothers fight for her life, potassium is a big reason she keeps getting knocked down! Her potassium levels keep going "dangerously low," and the doctors express to us how terrible that is. Thank you for your concern, and I will certainly keep everyone posted!!

Thanks all! :)
