So, I got to chat this morning.... :-)    And for those of you that were in there asking if I have MSN, yes, I finally got it. So, next time we chat, I will give you all the info. if you want it.

Me and my son are going to go outside in a little while.  I told him there is a chance that we could only stay outside for a little while, he is very understanding about that. smurf

I am feeling very sore today.  sad    Not sure why.   I feel more tense than normal.  My chest feels really tight, like it needs to crack, more tight than normal, and all my muscles feel overeall sore.  My left rib has a slight ache in it.  ANY SUGGESTIONS on maybe why?

Also been wanting to ask if anyone here has GERD as well?  As you all know I haven't been to the doctor recently, but I am seriously wondering if I have GERD.  I have to clear my throat all the time.  I am experiencing more heartburn than normal.  Obviously I have discomfort in my chest.  I dunno, any thoughts?

I definately have health anxiety...ugh.  ANd I know I shouldn't google symptoms,  nono but with the needing to clear my throat, I was thinking I had cancer.  With the chest discomfort, I was having a heart attack.  I guess I am just looking for thoughts.

I will TRY MY BEST to quit googling symptoms, I know it isn't a good idea.  I know this.

Thank you as always to anyone who answers.  And to all those that were chatting this morning, I am happy you guys were there.  It was a nice time!

Hope everyone is having a great day...

TammyGrl,

I often have sore muscles and I can't think of anything I've done to cause the soreness.  I believe that it is due to the stress and tension of my anxiety.  I also have been diagnosed with GERD.  It can cause you to have to clear your throat often and have heartburn.  Mine causes me to have frequent sore throats and sinus problems as well.  The chest discomfort could be from GERD or anxiety.  When my anxiety is "acting up" I have chest pressure, discomfort and feel short of breath.

If you do have GERD it might help to eliminate caffeine, alcohol, spicy food, tomatoes, etc. from your diet.  Try not to eat large meals or lie down too soon after you eat.  I try not to eat after 6 or 7 at night.

Thank you kindly resting! I have noticed that after I eat spicy or greasy foods that my chest discomfort is greater than normal, and it will actually intensify my panic attacks! Weird huh?

That is why I was thinking GERD.

Anyway, I will try some of the things you suggested and see if I feel any better.

Thanks and hope you have a great day!

Hi Tammy,
I see you woke up and did a body scan to see how you feel.lol. Its all part of anxiety. You still may need to get checked out when you get a chance. Just to comfort you, I had the same symptoms also. Stay away from google monster as i call it. Googleing CAN NOT fix you so why look? I understand your stuck in your home. When you awake everyday your body has energy to burn. What are you doing to burn this energy? If your doing nothing then the energy you have only feeds the anxiety. You need to walk and play with your son who also has energy to burn. Youll be amazed how much better you will feel! I have gerd sometimes. I dropped all caffine and i dont eat past 6:00 pm unless it is very lite. If you sneak a cigarette from time to time that will make you feel that way also. I do and i know how it makes me feel.Bad habit. The soreness os probally due to your muscles staying tense. Excercise should help.Sometimes we get tense without knowing it. If you feel you have trouble geeting a deep breath, breath through your nose 4 times at a normal breath with your mouth closed. Then open your mouth and take a deep breath. I hope your having a good day.....

Thanks myles!!! I am going out with my son to play in the yard right now, as a matter of fact.

You are right, I am not doing anything good to burn off this energy, aside from cleaning. That isn't enough.

Thankfully I don't smoke! I quit just over 2 months ago!

Yes, I gave myself a body scan today...I know how horrible that is.

Horrible health anxiety...keeps my mind going with diagnosis!!!!

I hate it. Thank you though for your response!!

Hope you are havinga great day too!!!

Hi Tammy,

I have GERD.  I get heartburn especially after eating certain foods (spicy, greasy).  Chest discomfort in the certain of my chest.  Sometimes I feel a lump in my throat when I swallow.

GERD can mimic heart disease.  Best to let the doc check it out!  I have eliminated certain foods that give me heartburn.  Also, I take Prilosec which seems to help.

Resting has a lot of good points.  Not lying down soon after you eat and not eating late at night is important.  When I feel anxious or have a panic attack, the GERD seems to flare up.

Hope this helps.  Take care hun.
Mary

TamGrl,
All the symptoms you describe I'm getting now. So, I had a few questions. I just had a baby girl on the 2nd of August, so it's been a little over a month. I went to the doctors a couple times about this, I feel like aches/sharp pains and muscle spasms in my upper ab area.. when you explained you had a sore feeling or achy feeling under your rib, i get that too. The doc says I'm just healing, but he didn't really take any test, besides an x-ray and blood test which I'm still waiting for. It's so frustrating too, because I have a lost of appetite because my stomach gets like bubbly when I eat.. which i know is "normal" I just never felt all these crappy symptoms before. I get a bit of indigestion, but not alot.. nothing i'm worried about. I just feel like my lack of eating, and all these things i'm feeling inside might be something more serious. I dont know, anxiety is a pain if thats what it is. Did you feel the pain under your ribs shortly after birth? I felt mine about 3 weeks later. maybe 2 weeks. I figured maybe I bruised them or something. But anyway thats my major problem now.. I get pains mainly in my upper ab area... spasms.. chest pain. ITS frustrating.
