I'm actually going to be with my dad on father's day for the first time since I was five years old! Weird huh? I'm 31 now. I'm his only kid, so I guess it's good for the both of us. I bought him a new pair of shoes.

" I Wish You Could REMEMBER All These Memories I Have Dad"

I can still remember the day we went out and you took off  my training wheels on my lil bike told me to go slowly and carefully.......I did listen and then thought I knew it all lol as per usual
NOT so I ended up banging into the back end of a very BIG car ( parked) and split my lip ,,,,
HAVE the scar still on my lip adds character.......lol

Taking me down at 4am to Lake Erie when smelts were running with a collander ( strainer) with a handle on it about same age and I loved it so much

Starting my yearning and love for Fishing way back then

You and I falling into the drink with our clothing on and the bills *money* you had in pocket out hanging on clothesline....Mom not to impressed....at all lol

Taking me horse back riding and buying a horse which I know broke your heart and all us kids when By Law officer said nono  to horses in City lol
        BUT you tried

NO matter what you did with us and especially with me was my most wonderful times in my youth

THEN

I got to getting older and thinking i was wiser ( ya ok) and boys became a new thing for me
I know this hurt you as I became far away from fishing softball and horses to be a girly girl and you never said anything YET I could see it in your eyes and hear it in your voice

Meeting Rick.......He became your BEST friend and you trusted him with my life ........you both celabrated ST.Paddy's Day together for many yrs

The most painful memory I have is when I had to tell you Rick had died in a car accident 15 min away from all of us and we didnt know till hours later.......You stopped drinking the NEXT day and have not had one since March 18th 1979.......I am so and still proud of you for that ..STOPPING cold Turkey as did I ..I went to AA you did not

Being the father you were all thru my life gave me the room to grow ........zest for learning all I could get my hands on and being trusted by you helped me to grow into a woman ....mother,,,,,,,,,Grandmother........

I know Mom played her part very well too but today is YOUR day to be recognized

I LOVE and MISS the Dad that use to be here with me BUT I know you miss him too

I will try to help you all I can for as long as I can and I do it for love not for any other reason
I had my love from you a ( step) FATHER that could not have been more precious and valued by me
WE have a great thing between us and yes even with the Alzheimer's we still have our LOVING communication going on when no one else " Gets you" I DO

THANKS DADDY FOR ALL you did and continue to DO

Anyman can be a dad it takes a SPECIAL man to be a FATHER

PROUD and ETERNALLY grateful to be Blessed with you and you guidance love support and honesty.......YOU are the best .....
Coming soon to make you a " Special Dinner" and bring you some presents

Love YOU Dad................Your daughter Forever and a Day........LYN

MY thoughts today are also for those Woman who have had to or are being both parents for whatever reason

THIS is such a hard but rewarding way to go
I know as I am a single Mom too

I just keep remembering and thinking
"Parenting does not come with a Handguide"
(I ) we are not perfect in parenting 110% of the time
We do falter BUT our kids believe the sun rises and sets because of us ........

My heart thoughts and prayers are with any single parents out there that are raising their lil one ,teens ect......

God BLess
YOU's (me) are doing a bang up job

Be PROUD

Luvs and have a great day all

Well, my dad hasn't been there for me during most of my life, and he actually screwed me pretty bad on more than one occasion, but I now realize that he had a lot of problems of his own. His business has become a resounding success over the last few years and I'm happy for him....he deserves it. And I'm grateful now that he's given me the opportunity to share in it. I've seen the business's inner workings in detail over the last couple weeks and am very confident that I won't be screwed again. In fact, I think with a lot of hard work I'm going to be able to really grow my territory. That would benefit both of us. Anyway, my dad is making amends.

I also had a step dad who was around from my Jr. High years and beyond. We never really had a father/son relationship, but he was very good to me and my mother and we were close. I actually had a much better relationship with him than his own children did. He died very quickly of multiple myeloma a few years ago. I really miss him. He was an interesting guy...sort of shut off emotionally but always there if you really needed him. My grandfather was probably the closest thing I had to a father in my formative years. He died not too long before my step dad did....another form of cancer. All of my grandparents were very strange people, but he was always very great with me growing up.

So I've been lucky with father-like figures. Some people have had great fathers all their lives...no divorces or anything. Those people are lucky. But it's not like I drew the shortest straw by any stretch of the imagination and am extremely grateful.

I had talked to Kitt for a few last night on MSN.......

My sister in her infinite WISDOM........brought Mom's ashes to us yesterday .....Fathers Day
'I had asked her NOT to bring them on Mother's day so you woulda figured that she would understand the meaning behind it
Once again dad is withdrwing and I find myself living ot all over agin and truly having to BELIEVE now and accept that Mom is really gone and I believe that is dad's biggest turmoil and heartache

Where is the compassion and empathy

At least was able to have a good day no great day with him til this happened I told her to leave or I would deal with some anger issues ........lol

She knew by "THE LOOK and SOUND of voice I was not Kidding

Thanks for letting me vent all once again
