hi folks.

I have hepatitis, and I really need to be careful about what meds I take. I'm currently taking xanax
lowered dose from 4mg day to 1.5-2 I was wondering which med is safest for the liver?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hello reza,

I am Kitt.  I agree with Lynn as you already have a liver problem, your physician should be the one to advise you on this question.

I have read that if you have liver problem Trazodone may be acceptable in a low dose but again it comes with the warning in rare cases may cause liver damage.

Sorry but it is not  a question for non-professionals.

Keep posting and let us know what med your physician suggests.

trazodone is an antidepressant or a sleeping pill

I agree, ask your doc, I assume all xanax type meds would be the same for the liver
