Hello everyone
I haven't written in a long time. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question...I am on lexapro and my MD wants me to go on wellubutrin as well as lexapro because of the lack of sex drive. Does anyone here take wellubutrin? If that works he wants me to ween off lexapro and see if wellubutrin works for my anxiety and sex drive....any thoughts??? :-)

W is advertised as causing few sexual problems but I severely doubt that adding it to L will give any more than a placebo benefit

you could try swapping from L to W, but assuming the L is working for your anxiety ( sometimes it doesnt), theres no guarantee that W will as its a differnet type of AD

AD meds alter rather than stop sexual pleasure, and some experimenting often helps, ask partner to help    some stop their AD for about 5 days occasionally ands then have a romantic interlude yeah yeah

others accept the lack of enjoyment for the AD benefits

I know someone that  takes Wellbutrin, Paxil, and Effexor and that combination seems to be pretty good for her.  The addition of the Wellbutrin did bring some of her  libido back. Both the Paxil and the Effexor shut it down. She didn't  notice side effects with the Wellbutrin, but took  it early in the day as it can have a stimulating effect.

Everyone is different but I have heard the stories that Wellbutrin may well increase your libido.

Hope this helps you sort out the Wellbutirn question.
