This may be a silly question, but where can I find out if anxiety can cause pain and if so what kind of pain?

Thanks in advance.

greyhound, here is a link to a site I have in a folder on my desktop at home. It lists all symptoms of anxiety. Hope this helps.

Good Morning

Generalized Anxiety disorder and Panic disorder can cause any number of strange and weird symptoms.

Do some reading of topics here on A & P on both and you'll be surprised to find the extent and extremeness of the physical symptoms plus you find you aren't alone with this problem.

You need to have a complete physical exam to rule out a physical problem causing you symptoms and go from there.

Take care of you and keep posting. Your family now.

Respectfully
Kitt

I wasn't sure if we were allowed to provide links from other sites on here or not. Whenever I have an attack like I've been experiencing I go to that and look at the symptoms to remind myself that the symptoms listed are what I am experiencing. Lyn, I have been so tense and stressed and anxious with all of this digestive issue I literally have caused myself to have a stomach ache. I am feeling alot of stinging, not only gas. I don't know why I am having a worse anxiety attack than the last time. It is the exact thing I went through before. I think worse this time in ways as my anxiety about it is worse, which is only making my symptoms worse. I hope to have this back under control before I go see my gastro doctor in two weeks. But at this rate I won't be.
